Place Massena, Nice

Massena Square
Reopened in 2007 after a major redesign, Place Massena reconnects with its historical identity and is now one of the central landmarks of Nice.
The new Place Massena is located in the heart of the city's tourist district. It offers a rare sense of space and tranquillity in Nice, where buildings and narrow streets are usually crammed together. Here you will discover the typical arches of Nice architecture and a splendid fountain.
The square is very pleasant thanks to its sunny location, numerous benches and aesthetic appeal.
Place Massena is connected to several important tourist attractions:
- Avenue Jean Médecin, one of the city's main thoroughfares. It has a large number of clothing shops, snack bars, pubs and restaurants.
- On either side are the Albert 1er and Massena gardens.
- Rue de France, a pedestrian street in Nice lined with restaurants and shops of all kinds.
- The bus station, from which you can take a bus to anywhere in the city.
- The entrance to Old Nice.
Don't hesitate to make a detour via Place Massena if you plan to visit any of these places. However, we advise you not to head towards Boulevard Felix Faure, which is of no interest to tourists.
