The water games on the Paillon promenade
Right in the centre, the Paillon promenade (12 hectares) is the perfect free playground: a 3,000 m² water mirror with 128 jets on the Place Masséna side, a cooling "mist plateau" at Jardin Albert 1er, and a wooden "sea bestiary" playground with a 30-metre whale. Open from 7 am to 11 pm in summer. Kids could spend the whole day there — bring spare clothes.
Castle Hill: the view and the playground
Castle Hill park (19 hectares, 92 m high) combines the best: a 1,600 m² playground (wooden castle, inclusive games), a waterfall, free-roaming peacocks and the most beautiful panorama in Nice. The lift is free (rue des Ponchettes), saving the climb with a pram. Hours: 8:30 am-8 pm in summer.
The beaches with kids

The Natural History Museum is closed for works until mid-September 2026 — note it for an autumn stay.
