A stone's throw from the airport, Parc Phoenix is Nice's green break: seven hectares of world gardens, a tropical greenhouse the size of an aircraft hangar, crocodiles, free-roaming peacocks and children's play areas. And all for under €6. Here is everything you need to know to visit it well in 2026.

The tropical greenhouse: the highlight
The "Green Diamond" is the largest single-span greenhouse in Europe: 7,000 m² under 25 metres high. Inside, six tropical and subtropical climates: an equatorial forest with waterfall, an orchid collection, the Southern Africa garden, and a fern house home to Nile crocodiles. Humidity nears 80% — you come out with curly hair, that's the price of immersion.
The themed gardens
Around the greenhouse, the park unfolds its collections: the Mediterranean garden with its Provençal cabin, the vegetable garden and vineyard, the citrus trees, the grass valley, the palm collection (about fifty species) and the scented plants. Each season changes the park's face — the spring blooms and the autumn gold of the grasses are superb.
How to get there
- Tram: line 2, "Parc Phoenix" stop — the simplest (see our tram guide);
- Bus: Parc Phoenix stop (line 620);
- Train: Saint-Augustin station;
- Car: A8 exit 51, paid public car parks nearby (the park has no car park of its own);
- The entrance is on the tram side (the Arénas entrance is closed).
On site: games, picnic, food
Picnicking is allowed, the "Côté Jardin" snack serves on site (100 seats), and children have their own play area. For the sportier, the Nissa'venture treetop course (paid, independent) adds another activity. The park lends wheelchairs and prams — ask at the reception.
How long to allow?
Allow 2 to 3 hours for a full visit: an hour in the greenhouse and gardens, an hour of strolling and games. Mornings are calmer, afternoons livelier with schoolchildren in season. The park combines ideally with a visit to western Nice (Carras beach is very close).
