Palais Lascaris Nice: Visit Guide & Practical Info
Listed as a historic monument, Palais Lascaris is a 17th-century aristocratic residence hidden in the streets of Old Nice.
Formerly privately owned by the Ventimiglia-Lascaris family, the palace, built in the Genoese Baroque style, was purchased by the city of Nice in the mid-20th century. Opened to the public after seven years of restoration, it is now a municipal museum (official prices and opening hours below).
The visit is fairly quick, as it takes about twenty minutes to see everything. The place is interesting to discover for its architecture and the tour of the apartments.
The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., except on Tuesdays and certain public holidays. Guided tours take place every Friday at 3 p.m. and cost €5 per person.

Why go (beyond "it's pretty")
The Palais Lascaris is one of the most "Old Nice" places there is: baroque, staircases, rooms that tell the story of another era. It's an ideal visit when you're already in the old town and want to take a cultural break.
Local tip
Visit Lascaris then head down to Cours Saleya: it's a very natural and pleasant sequence.
