Nice has three SNCF train stations, Nice-Ville for mainline services, Saint-Augustin for the airport, Riquier for the east of the city and the port, plus the Vauban bus station for coaches. 2024 passenger figures, luggage storage, reduced-mobility access and regional fares recorded in September 2026: here's how it all works.
Nice-Ville (Gare Thiers): the main station
Located on avenue Thiers, in the Musiciens district (06000), Nice-Ville is the city's main station: 12,131,450 passengers in 2024 (SNCF Open Data). You can reach it by tram T1, "Gare Thiers" stop about 200 metres away, by bus (lines 57, 64, 70, 71 and 75) or by taxi on the forecourt. This is where the TGV trains, the night train to Paris and most TER trains depart from.
Bagmobile luggage storage: leave your bags for the day
In the East hall, the Bagmobile left-luggage service (an SNCF partnership) takes your bags every day from 8.15am to 9pm. Prices recorded in September 2026: €5.50 for a locker, €7.50 for a medium bag, €9.50 for a large bag, €15 for a bike or skis, €3 for a helmet and a jacket. Reduced-mobility access: free assistance on request
The Assist'enGare assistance is free: book up to 24 hours before departure by calling 32 12 (8am-8pm) or at the station. Platform accessibility works are under way at Nice-Ville, check before you travel.
