If you plan to visit Antibes, follow this simple itinerary, which will let you discover the essentials of the destination.
Visiting the old village
The old village of Antibes is very pretty (see the photo at the top of this article) and is best explored on foot. You will discover many narrow lanes typical of southern French villages. The visit is pleasant, dotted with food and souvenir markets, as well as restaurants for a break.
On the edges of the village, the view is simply extraordinary: from the shore, the panorama blends beach, sea and mountains. In winter, the snow-capped peaks add a magical touch to the landscape. Not to be missed!
Allow one to two hours at most for the visit.
Discovering the ramparts, the Port Vauban and the « Billionaires' Bay »
The fortified side of the town is felt mainly in the old village and on the port, surrounded by ramparts. A lovely place for a stroll after exploring the old village.
Lovers of luxury yachts will admire the finest models in this so-called Billionaires' Bay. You will see magnificent boats, including that of the Microsoft co-founder, who comes here regularly.
An unforgettable walk along the coastal paths or "tour of Cap d'Antibes"
A very easy walk to do as a family, to discover breathtaking coastal scenery before or after a swim. Not to be missed. Try to set off a little before noon and stop along the way for a picnic by the water.
The path lets you walk all the way around Cap d'Antibes along a route cut into the rock and running along the sea. Not accessible for people with reduced mobility. Keep a close eye on children.
The path is closed in bad weather. If it is open but there is wind or a heavy swell, do not go!

Visiting the Fort Carré

It is unthinkable to leave Antibes Juan-les-Pins without enjoying one of its wonderful beaches.

Going out in Antibes Juan-les-Pins
It is pointless and impossible to list every place to go out in Antibes Juan-les-Pins, because there is almost nothing else! In the evening, head to the centre of Juan-les-Pins, where you will find more than enough to spend a year's holidays, changing venue every night without ever returning to the same establishment twice.
Getting to Antibes from Nice
There are two options: either by car (not recommended because of traffic jams and the difficulty of parking), or by train, an economical, eco-friendly and fast solution.
The Antibes station is ideally located close to the sea and the town centre.
