Antibes
Antibes Juan-les-Pins, between Nice and Cannes, is known for beaches, historic streets, and a striking sea-and-mountain setting.
What to see and do in Antibes Juan-les-Pins
If you are planning a visit to Antibes, follow this simple itinerary to discover the highlights of the destination.
Visit the old village
The old village of Antibes is very pretty (see photo at the top of this article) and can be visited on foot. You will discover many narrow streets typical of villages in the South of France. The visit is pleasant and dotted with food and souvenir markets as well as restaurants where you can stop for a bite to eat.
On the outskirts of the village, the view is simply extraordinary: the sea offers a panorama combining beach, sea and mountains. In winter, the snow-capped peaks add a magical touch to the landscape. Not to be missed!
Allow one to two hours at most for the visit.
Discover the ramparts, Vauban harbour and the "billionaires' bay"
The fortified aspect of the town is most evident in the old village and the harbour, which is surrounded by ramparts. A beautiful place to stroll after exploring the old village.
Luxury
yacht enthusiasts can admire the most beautiful models in this bay known as the "billionaires' bay". You will see sumptuous boats, including that of the co-founder of Microsoft, who visits regularly.
An unforgettable walk along the coastal paths or "tour of Cap d'Antibes"
A very peaceful walk for the whole family to discover breathtaking coastal landscapes before or after a swim. Not to be missed. Set off a little before noon and stop along the way for a picnic by the water.
The trail allows you to walk all around Cap d'Antibes along a path carved into the rock and along the seashore. Not accessible to people with reduced mobility. Keep a close eye on children.
Trail closed in bad weather. If this is not the case and there is wind or heavy swell, do not go there!
